Usually, most people can participate in our group exercise classes with no problems, but there are some circumstances where participation is not advised:
1. Injury
Please advise us of any injuries you may have. Sometimes you may be able to continue with classes, but it is important for the instructor to be aware of anything so they can give you the correct support and attention. We may also be able to show you adaptations or alternatives to accommodate your abilities. This is on an individual basis, however, so please also seek medical advice before class if you are unsure.
2. Illness
Some people prefer to exercise if they’ve been feeling under the weather, but if you are feeling nauseous, dizzy, feverish, have a severe headache etc. please put your feet up and get better!
If you have any diagnosed medical conditions including (but not limited to) asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, high blood pressure, angina, it is vital that you first check with your doctor that it is safe for you to participate in a class.
FAQs
What do I wear for my pole class?
Gym wear (Shorts, leggings, 3 quarters, jogging bottoms, t shirt, vest tops and trainers are suitable) bare legs are better to grip the pole, but most important is that you feel comfortable!
Do I need to bring anything?
You may wish to bring a small towel for your personal hygiene and a non spill water bottle, but cups and drinking water will be provided.
What if I miss a class?
If you’re unable to attend a class, you must let us know at least 24 hours in advance via email at pinkladies@live.co.uk in order to be eligible for a catch-up session.
Please note that messages sent through Facebook, Instagram, or any other platforms will not be accepted — we need an email as official notice.
If you’re not planning to claim a catch-up or replace the missed session, that’s absolutely fine. However, we cannot accommodate requests for discounts on future courses due to missed sessions. This undermines the purpose of a prepaid course and makes it difficult to manage class numbers fairly.
If you already know you’ll be missing a session on an upcoming course (due to holidays, work, etc.), please contact us before booking so we can arrange a catch-up session and potentially offer that spot to someone else for the week.
When should I not participate in class?
What if I’m not good at it? Am I too old? Too out of shape or unfit?
No you’re not! All our classes and moves are adapted to suit everyone. The important thing is just to have fun!!
